Wynne graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia, with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws. After working in the legal and banking fields for several years, Wynne decided to pursue her passion in therapeutic work and subsequently obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Master of Applied Social Science (Counselling) with the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
She is experienced in working with adults, couples and children. With her prior experiences in the commercial world, she understands the stresses and struggles faced by managerial executives and professionals. She also works with expatriates in Hong Kong and Asia who do not have adequate personal support and experience difficulties in adjusting to the new culture.
She is particularly experienced in helping individuals to actualise their potential, enhance their self-awareness and confidence and gain clarity in their personal goals. She believes that we are stronger and more resourceful than we perceive ourselves. As we slowly discard our old beliefs and habits and develop positive routines, we become more resilient in handling the stresses in life and become a happier person. Our enhanced emotional well-being also helps us to build more harmonious and authentic relationships with others.
Wynne is gifted in connecting with children and teenagers. She believes that every child is unique and each has an inner jewel within, awaiting our discovery. She is particularly experienced in working with children with emotional, behavioral and developmental needs. She believes that there are always reasons for children to behave or react in certain ways. As we learn to discover the underlying causes and develop positive parenting practices, children are better able to regulate their emotions and behaviour.
Being a naturally patient and creative counsellor, Wynne adopts a variety of therapeutic techniques, tailored for the specific needs of each individual. She also offers workshops for stress relieve in the corporate setting. Her life experience and passion in developing her second career as a counsellor makes her very all-rounded in providing support and guidance to diverse cultural groups and professionals in all walks of life.
She offers online counselling to people who may not be able to attend face-to-face counselling due to work and family commitments or other geographical restrictions.
She is fluent in Cantonese and English.
