Shirley is a counsellor practicing Bowen Family Systems Theory and specialized in parent-child relationship difficulties, marital issues, adult emotional and interpersonal difficulties, elderly emotional issues, family relationship difficulties and personal development. She learned about various psychotherapy approaches when she pursued her Master of Social Science (Counselling) degree in University of Hong Kong. After graduation, as she was inspired by the concepts of system thinking and family perspective, she decided to continue in-depth study of Bowen Family Systems Theory in Hong Kong and in the U.S. She provides counselling service to individual, couple and family.
Shirley has also obtained rich experiences from business sector. She used to work with local and international media companies in cross-culture environment. Besides, she obtained her MBA degree from the EMBA programme of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her experiences and training gained from the business world help her a lot in understanding the complexity of various relationships of human beings.
Shirley is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
